I ♥ Basdaku Beach, Moalboal Cebu 11/06/12




Moalboal, a three hours drive from Cebu City is a gateway to some of the best diving spots in Cebu. Moalboal, or "Mowlbowl" as I'd like to call it, is a municipality about 89 kilometers from Cebu City. It's on the southwestern tip of Cebu situated between the towns of Badian and Alcantara. Moalboal is the go-to place for divers from all over the world. It has two main beaches, Panagsama Beach (Basdiot) and White Beach (Basdako).
Home to around 28,00 inhabitants, this provincial town is a well known tourist and diving paradise due to its unspoiled fine white sand beaches and diverse marine life. Divers and snorkelers will enjoy the rich and colorful underwater life of its numerous dive sites.
You can rent a cottage for a day for a mere P150. There is grilled food and beverages along the public beach as well. There are a lot of restaurants and kitchenettes in the area, but prepare to shell out at least P100.00 per meal.

Though there are a lot of people who visit Bas Daku, mostly locals from Cebu City, you can still find a spot on the beach where you can lay down your sarong or mat and let a morning pass with a book to read, or with an iPod to listen to. There's really nothing much to do here other than being a beach bum for a day.

How do we get there.

 We hire a jeepney for the 12 of us. It cost us 120 pesos/pax. The trip is approximately 3 hours from the city. The road trip was such a wonderful experience. We had a lot of good laughs and great view to see while we were there. The trip is out of plan so definitely a trip to remember.

Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats.
