I ❤️ Tokyo 2025 - Day 2 - Disneyland Fireworks - 03/10/2025

Tokyo Disneyland: A Night to Remember (and Some Curry Popcorn) – March 10, 2025   After a thrilling ride on Space Mountain, our next mission: securing the perfect viewing spot for the Disneyland fireworks display. We knew this was the highlight of many visitors' trips – a spectacular combination of lights, sounds, and classic Disney tunes, held every night, with special weekend shows requiring reserved seating (which, sadly, we hadn't managed to snag).   Our strategy? Claiming a spot in front of Cinderella Castle. This meant joining a throng of other tourists with the same brilliant idea. Kuya and Mom bravely held our place while Ate and the kids embarked on a quest for the elusive curry popcorn – a flavor our taste buds were desperately craving. The popcorn was only available in Adventureland, a good 100 meters away from Cinderella Castle. Let me tell you, that was a long walk, but totally worth it.   Armed with popcorn, drinks, and a renewe...

I ❤️ Tokyo 2025 - Day 2 - Disneyland - Beauty and the Beast - 03/10/2025

Tokyo Disneyland: A Royal Rendezvous with Beauty and the Beast – March 10, 2025   Fully energized after our delicious lunch, we decided to tackle one of Disneyland's top rides: Beauty and the Beast. Kuya, having conquered similar long lines at other Disney parks, encouraged us to go for it. We opted to skip Winnie the Pooh and Toy Story for this one – they’re on the list for next time!   As we strolled towards Cinderella Castle, the scenery subtly shifted, transitioning into a charming countryside setting. We'd arrived at Gaston's Village, and there it was – the ride's entrance, complete with the longest queue I'd ever seen. The estimated wait time? Ninety minutes. In reality, it ended up being over two hours.   For those who want to remain completely spoiler-free, I'd suggest stopping reading here. Seriously – you don't want to know what awaits!   But for the rest of you… let's dive in.   The wait, though lengthy, wasn't entirely unbearable. On...

I ❤️ Tokyo 2025 - Day 2 - Disneyland - Eastside Cafe - 03/10/2025

Tokyo Disneyland: A Delicious Detour to Eastside Cafe – March 10, 2025   Post-parade, our stomachs were rumbling louder than any rollercoaster. We were starving! The problem? Disneyland was packed, and every restaurant had a wait time that rivaled the lines for Space Mountain. But our resourceful Ate and Kuya remembered a hidden gem near the entrance: Eastside Cafe.   This table-service restaurant, tucked away in World Bazaar, promised a welcome respite from the park's frenetic energy. World Bazaar, with its early 20th-century Victorian theming, is already a feast for the eyes, and Eastside Cafe perfectly complements the atmosphere. It's like stepping into a charming Italian trattoria, complete with rich wood paneling, antique-style furnishings, and gorgeous murals depicting Italian landscapes. Even the frosted glass partitions added to the cozy, intimate feel.   Despite the crowds, the line at Eastside Cafe was surprisingly manageable. We sig...

I ❤️ Tokyo 2025 - Day 2 - Disneyland Parade - 03/10/2025

Tokyo Disneyland: The Magic of the Parade – March 10, 2025   It was almost 1 PM, and the air crackled with a palpable energy. We saw a sea of people gathering near Space Mountain, a definite sign that something big was about to happen. A quick check of the Disneyland app confirmed our suspicions: a parade, scheduled for precisely 1 PM. Game on!   Finding a good spot was a mini-adventure in itself. We decided to ditch the usual standing-room-only chaos and staked out a prime spot on the ground. Sitting comfortably, we had a perfect, unobstructed view – a much better strategy than battling the crowds for a standing position.   Then, the moment arrived. The clock struck one, and a booming voice from a megaphone announced the start of the parade. The anticipation was almost unbearable! This was a Disney must-do, something we'd been looking forward to all trip.   And let me tell you, it was everything we hoped for and more. The parade was an absolute e...

I ❤️ Tokyo 2025 - Day 2 - Disneyland - Critter Country - 03/10/2025

Tokyo Disneyland: Critter Country Adventure – March 10, 2025   Okay, so Day Two in Tokyo Disneyland started with a splash – literally! We hopped on that riverboat, and let me tell you, the first thing on our minds after a long morning of exploring was… the restroom! We needed a quick pit stop before diving headfirst into the next adventure: Critter Country. And wow, what an adventure it turned out to be.   Imagine this: You’re stepping into a whimsical world that’s kind of a bizarre mix of Winnie the Pooh’s Hundred Acre Wood and… a Wild West saloon? That’s Critter Country in a nutshell. It’s charmingly chaotic, a delightful blend of rustic charm and cartoon cuteness. It's not your typical Disney experience, and that's what makes it so unique.   The first thing that hit us was the atmosphere. There's this cozy, slightly off-kilter vibe. The log cabins, the rustic bridges, the gentle sounds of the river – it all creates a really relaxing atmosphere. You can almost sme...

I ❤️ Tokyo 2025 - Day 2 - Disney - Mark Twain Riverboat - 03/10/2025

Tokyo Disneyland 2025: Day 2 - A Relaxing Cruise on the Mark Twain Riverboat   Okay, so after battling Stitch (and his surprisingly catchy tunes in the Tiki Room!), we were ready for something a little more… chill. Initially, we were aiming for a rollercoaster adrenaline rush, but let's be honest, those lines are insane at Disneyland, even in 2025! The app showed a 20-minute wait for the Mark Twain Riverboat, and honestly, that sounded like a much better way to spend our time. Plus, a riverboat sounded kinda interesting, right?   Turns out, it was way more interesting than we expected. We all piled on together, and once the majestic Mark Twain Riverboat pulled away from the platform, we hightailed it to the third level. The view from up there? Absolutely stunning! We got a completely different perspective of Disneyland, seeing all the lands from the man-made river. It's like seeing the park through a whole new lens.   The ride its...

I ❤️ Tokyo 2025 - Day 2 - Disneyland - Lilo & Stitch Tiki Room - 03/10/2025

Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats. They even offered translation devices for non-English speakers – seriously impressed!   Stepping into the Tiki Room felt like entering a mini-theater. No photos or videos allowed (bummer, but understandable), so we just soaked it all in. The show itself? A whole lot of colorful robotic birds singing and doing their thing. Honestly, I kinda dozed off a bit. It...

I ❤️ Tokyo 2025 - Day 2 - Enter Disneyland - 03/10/2025

Tokyo 2025 – Day 2 – Entering the Magic: Tokyo Disneyland! - March 10th, 2025 Stepping off the train platform felt like stepping into a vibrant, bustling river of people. Locals and tourists alike flowed around us, all buzzing with excitement, a palpable energy that only a place like Tokyo can generate. This time, our journey to Tokyo Disneyland was a short stroll – a far cry from our Disney train adventure on our first visit! I barely noticed the distance; the walk was a feast for the eyes, a delightful parade of Disney decorations and displays. A massive souvenir shop practically begged us to stop – strategically placed right at the park entrance, it was impossible to miss! Of course, we had to snag some photos at the iconic Tokyo Disneyland Welcome Arc – it’s a must-do for any first-timer (and even seasoned Disney fans!). But with even more Instagram-worthy spots waiting inside, we eventually tore ourselves away and headed for the entrance.   We'd pre-booked our tickets thr...

Tokyo 2025 – Day 2: Disneyland Dreams! (03/10/2025)   Six AM! My alarm screamed, and honestly, I wasn't even mad. Today was Tokyo Disneyland day – the big one! Fuelled by instant noodles (hey, it’s a travel hack!), a ridiculously delicious melon bread, and strong coffee, I was ready to conquer the Magic Kingdom. This was my fourth Disney park – Hong Kong Disneyland (twice!) and Tokyo DisneySea under my belt – but this was different. This was the family's first trip to Japan, and Tokyo Disneyland felt like the perfect, magical way to kick it all off.   Yesterday’s slightly chaotic "Lost in Translation" adventure to find our Airbnb had taught us a valuable lesson: patience. So, no rushing this morning! We took our time getting ready, and I even donned my lucky Disney Goofy shirt and Mickey Mouse hat – full-on Disney cosplay, baby! We were picture-ready by 10 AM, snapping a million photos before heading out. Seriously, the pre-Disney photo shoot was almost as fun ...

I ♥ Disneyland - Hong Kong (2013) - 03-02-2013

Image
Hong Kong Disneyland Even though I've been to Disney Hong Kong before, my excitement level was through the roof on this visit! There's just something magical about anything Disney that brings out the inner child in me. As soon as I stepped foot into the park, I couldn't contain my enthusiasm. I felt like shouting, "I'M IN HONG KONG DISNEYLAND!!!" It's a dream come true for me, and I couldn't be happier. Despite being the smallest Disneyland in the world, Hong Kong Disneyland remains one of the most popular destinations in Hong Kong for a reason. It offers a delightful experience for both kids, who can immerse themselves in the wonders of Fantasyland, and adults, who have the opportunity to relive their cherished childhood memories. Hong Kong Disneyland is divided into several zones, with the junction located right in front of the enchanting Sleeping Beauty Castle. On the right, you'll find Tomorrowland, while Adventureland awaits on the left. Direc...
