Tokyo 2025 – Day 3: Shibuya Part 1 – March 11, 2025
 
With our bellies happily full from that amazing late lunch, we had the afternoon free to explore Shibuya! Our first stop was Uniqlo. My goal? To find a warmer winter jacket for my mom. The one she'd packed wasn't quite cutting it. Uniqlo had some great options, but I resisted the urge to buy anything for myself. I'm already overloaded with clothes, and converting everything to pesos while shopping abroad is a major buzzkill. 😅 After Mom got her new jacket, we headed to the motherlode – the biggest Don Quijote in Shibuya!
 
This is where my money disappeared. The group split up, giving ourselves an hour and a half to conquer Don Quijote's five floors. Shopping spree time! Don Quijote is a treasure trove of amazing products at rock-bottom prices. It's easy to see why Japan is such a shopping paradise for Filipinos. Seriously, so many great finds!
 
We finally emerged around 8:00 pm, our bags considerably heavier. Time to head home and rest. It was such a fantastic day. I can't even begin to describe the energy and happiness of Shibuya – it's definitely where the heart and soul of Tokyo beats.

Tokyo Disneyland: A Delicious Detour to Eastside Cafe – March 10, 2025   Post-parade, our stomachs were rumbling louder than any rollercoaster. We were starving! The problem? Disneyland was packed, and every restaurant had a wait time that rivaled the lines for Space Mountain. But our resourceful Ate and Kuya remembered a hidden gem near the entrance: Eastside Cafe.   This table-service restaurant, tucked away in World Bazaar, promised a welcome respite from the park's frenetic energy. World Bazaar, with its early 20th-century Victorian theming, is already a feast for the eyes, and Eastside Cafe perfectly complements the atmosphere. Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats. They even offered translation devices for non-English speakers – seriously impressed!   Stepping into the Tiki Room felt like entering a mini-theater.
