DAY 3 - HALONG BAY: WHERE SUNSHINE MEETS EXCLUSIVE ADVENTURE 


Our day started with the warmest greeting of the Sun – after 6 days in Vietnam, the sun finally showed up with its friendly sunlight, and we knew the trip would be lovely. The reality of our Halong Bay tour exceeded our expectations. Sometimes we can never really assume everything that is written on the web. We waited for our pickup at 8am, then departed from the old headquarters at 9am heading north. Our first comfort stop was at Tram Vic Du - 23 by 10am, followed by a quick visit to a pearl farm at 11am before continuing on our way. By noon, we’d arrived at the Halong Bay port, bought our tickets, and boarded our cruise ship. Lunch was served at 12:30pm as the cruise set sail, and we were already mesmerized by the limestone karsts rising from the emerald waters. At 1:30pm, we visited three caves – Sung Sot Cave was the highlight, surprisingly accessible and tourist-friendly. Best of all, there were so few visitors that the cave felt exclusive to our small group! Our tour bus only had 10 people, and the cruise ship just 15 – making the whole experience feel like a private getaway. The perfect weather had us snapping photos non-stop. We explored Batu Cave at 3pm before heading back to the port by 4pm. The journey back to Hanoi included a coffee break at a marble shop at 6pm, and we were back in the city by 6:30pm. After freshening up at our hotel, we headed out for dinner at 8pm – you can’t leave Vietnam without a bowl of authentic pho! We capped off the night at 9pm with a visit to Giang Cafe to try their famous Egg Coffee, then booked a Grab ride back to the hotel by 10pm. By 10:30pm, we were ready to rest up after an incredible day.

Tokyo Disneyland: A Delicious Detour to Eastside Cafe – March 10, 2025   Post-parade, our stomachs were rumbling louder than any rollercoaster. We were starving! The problem? Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats. They even offered translation devices for non-English speakers – seriously impressed!   Stepping into the Tiki Room felt like entering a mini-theater.
