Banh Mi Bliss in Da Nang: A Culinary Adventure
Da Nang, Vietnam – a city that effortlessly blends ancient charm with modern vibrancy. After a truly satisfying bowl of pho, we weren't quite ready to call it a day. Our stomachs, however, were whispering sweet nothings about Banh Mi – that iconic Vietnamese sandwich featuring a crusty baguette filled with a delightful array of savory ingredients. For the uninitiated, imagine a delicious symphony of textures and flavors all nestled within a perfectly crisp bread roll.
Our friendly server at Pho Co pointed us towards a small kiosk nestled beside Lee Convenience Store. It was the quintessential Banh Mi shop: baguettes proudly displayed in the window, fillings meticulously arranged, and the unmistakable "Banh Mi" sign beckoning hungry passersby. Tiny plastic chairs and tables lined the street, offering a perfect spot to enjoy our culinary conquest.



We approached the tiny, bustling lady running the show and ordered a Banh Mi. For a mere 15,000 VND (around 30 PHP), we were about to embark on a flavor journey! As the lady expertly warmed the baguette – a magnificent 12-inch behemoth – I whipped out my phone. I couldn't help but capture the sheer generosity of the filling: a glorious mix of pâté, succulent sausage, tender pork cutlets, fragrant herbs, and even a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg! It was a sight to behold.
Knowing I couldn't possibly devour the entire thing after our pho feast, I politely asked the lady to slice it in half. Sharing is caring, especially when it involves such deliciousness. Badet and Mader were more than happy to join in on the Banh Mi adventure.



The first bite? Pure magic. Seriously, it was that good. The crusty baguette gave way to a delightful explosion of flavors and textures. The pâté was rich and smooth, the sausage savory and juicy, the pork cutlets tender and flavorful, all perfectly complemented by the fresh herbs and the creamy richness of the egg yolk. It was the perfect example of how simple ingredients, prepared with care and passion, can create a truly unforgettable culinary experience. This Banh Mi was a testament to the fact that even the simplest food can satisfy the most ravenous appetite, provided the quality is top-notch.
This little Banh Mi shop in Da Nang became an unexpected highlight of our trip. I'm already dreaming of my next one!

Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats.
