Siquijor 2025: Day 2 - From Falls to Beach Bliss (and a Missed Cave!)
 
Okay, so Day 2 in Siquijor started with a bang – or rather, a splash!  After our epic photoshoot at the stunning Cambugahay Falls (seriously, those pictures are going to be amazing), our tour guide whisked us away to our next adventure: Sambulawan Underground River.
 
The excitement quickly deflated, though.  As we arrived, I realized we were facing another trek, and the guide mentioned the cave itself wasn't exactly a visual feast.  Fresh from the waterfall shenanigans, my muscles were screaming for a break.  I'm not proud to admit it, but I was being a bit of a grump.  Turns out, my fellow travelers felt the same way.  We unanimously decided to skip the cave and opted for a much-needed dose of caffeine and delicious siomai instead.  Milk tea and siomai – the perfect post-waterfall fuel!
 
Next on the agenda: Salagdoong Beach.  Little did we know, this beauty was almost an hour away from the underground river. But hey, as the saying goes (or maybe I just made it up), "the farther the journey, the better the destination," right?
 
The journey itself was an adventure.  We drove through a kilometer of man-made Molave tree forest. It reminded me a lot of Bohol's man-made forest, but without the crazy traffic and those heart-stopping "buwis-buhay" (risky) vehicles.  A much more relaxed experience!
 
Our amazing tour guide was a lifesaver.  He offered to take our videos and pictures, and let me tell you, this group wasn't leaving until we had the perfect Instagram-worthy shots. We were a bunch of picture-obsessed tourists, but hey, who can resist the urge to capture such beautiful moments?  Seriously, the lighting, the trees, the whole vibe was just perfect.
 
We will see you in our next destination, the beach, and the promise of more Siquijor adventures to come.

Tokyo Disneyland: A Delicious Detour to Eastside Cafe – March 10, 2025   Post-parade, our stomachs were rumbling louder than any rollercoaster. We were starving! The problem? Disneyland was packed, and every restaurant had a wait time that rivaled the lines for Space Mountain. But our resourceful Ate and Kuya remembered a hidden gem near the entrance: Eastside Cafe.   This table-service restaurant, tucked away in World Bazaar, promised a welcome respite from the park's frenetic energy. Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats. They even offered translation devices for non-English speakers – seriously impressed!   Stepping into the Tiki Room felt like entering a mini-theater.
