Okay, so Day Two in Siquijor! We finished all our planned activities super early – like, 4 PM early! This left us with a dilemma: Bucafe sunset or Paliton Beach sunset? Given that our tour was winding down and the sky looked suspiciously gloomy (sunset seemed unlikely anyway), we opted for Paliton Beach. It's closer to our hotel, which was a major plus after a long day.
 
The drive to Paliton Beach from the Balete Tree (and that whole Old Balete Tree saga – another story for another time!) took almost an hour. And guess what? No sunset. Zip. Zilch. Nada. The sky remained stubbornly cloudy. But, hey, at least we weren't the only ones there!
 
Paliton Beach was buzzing! Turns out, the real attraction isn't the sunset (at least not on this particular day). It's the famous swing! Seriously, there was a massive queue of people waiting their turn to get that perfect Instagram-worthy video or TikTok-ready clip on the iconic swing hanging over the ocean. We joined the queue, of course. We had to get our own shots!
 
And you know what? It was totally worth the wait. The swing was awesome, and the view, even without the sunset, was pretty spectacular. Plus, the sea was incredibly calm – a stark contrast to my last visit here. It was almost eerily peaceful.
 
While my travel buddies decided to take a dip in the invitingly calm waters, I opted to do some souvenir shopping. I spent a fun half hour haggling over prices, getting some great deals on little trinkets and gifts. It was a really nice way to end the day.
 
After about 30 minutes of souvenir hunting and beach gazing, we headed back to the hotel. All in all, Day Two in Siquijor was a success, even if the sunset was a no-show. Sometimes, the unexpected detours are the best part of a trip!

Tokyo Disneyland: A Delicious Detour to Eastside Cafe – March 10, 2025   Post-parade, our stomachs were rumbling louder than any rollercoaster. We were starving! The problem? Disneyland was packed, and every restaurant had a wait time that rivaled the lines for Space Mountain. Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats.
