Tokyo 2025: Day 1 - A Smooth Flight and a Mountainous First Impression
 
March 9th, 2025. 12:30 PM: Boarding the Cebu Pacific flight to Narita Airport felt like the start of a grand adventure. The anticipation was buzzing! 1:00 PM: We were airborne, soaring above the clouds. I spent the ascent snapping photos – the Manila skyline from above was breathtaking. My usual middle seat in the Airbus 360 wasn't ideal, but the view made up for it.
 
Merienda time hit, and I grabbed a bowl of instant noodles (100 pesos – not bad!). Then, the unexpected happened: Cebu Pacific's in-flight games! The question? "What is the capital of Japan, a global megacity, a vibrant blend of ancient traditions and modern innovation?" My hand shot up faster than you can say "Tokyo"! And guess what? I won! My prize? A cute Cebu Pacific mini pouch – perfect for keeping my Philippine Pesos safe and sound.
 
After my mini-celebration, I drifted off to sleep, catching some much-needed rest. But then, as we approached Japanese airspace, a fellow passenger whispered, "Look! Mount Fuji!" Peeking out the window, I saw it – a perfect, fluffy, triangular peak peeking through the clouds. My first glimpse of Mount Fuji, a bird's-eye view, was absolutely awesome!
 
As we descended, the golden hour painted the Tokyo sky in spectacular hues, promising fair weather ahead. We landed at Narita Airport at 6:00 PM (remember, it's an hour ahead of Manila!), completing a smooth five-hour journey. The flight was surprisingly comfortable.
 
This first day set the tone for the trip perfectly: a little bit of luck, a lot of stunning views, and a smooth start to my Tokyo adventure. Here's to many more amazing days!

Tokyo Disneyland: A Delicious Detour to Eastside Cafe – March 10, 2025   Post-parade, our stomachs were rumbling louder than any rollercoaster. We were starving! The problem? Disneyland was packed, and every restaurant had a wait time that rivaled the lines for Space Mountain. But our resourceful Ate and Kuya remembered a hidden gem near the entrance: Eastside Cafe.   This table-service restaurant, tucked away in World Bazaar, promised a welcome respite from the park's frenetic energy. Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats. They even offered translation devices for non-English speakers – seriously impressed!   Stepping into the Tiki Room felt like entering a mini-theater.
