Tokyo 2025 – Day 5 – Shibuya Part 2 – 03/13/2025: A Return to Familiar Streets and New Specs!
 
Following our delightful cherry blossom discovery in Sugekari Park, we decided to continue our exploration. We started strolling through the streets of Meguro, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere and taking in the sights. After about 20 minutes of walking, we found ourselves back in Shibuya – a familiar and welcome sight! This was our second visit to this vibrant area, and it felt like coming home.
 
The main reason for our return to Shibuya was a practical one: new eyeglasses. My current pair was starting to show its age, and I'd been eyeing Owndays for a while. Finding the Owndays store proved to be a bit more challenging than expected; it wasn't as easy to locate as I'd hoped. However, after a bit of searching, we finally found it, making it the perfect opportunity to finally get a new pair.
 
The Owndays store, once located, offered an impressive selection. The staff were friendly and helpful, guiding me through the process of finding the perfect frames to suit my face and style. After trying on several options, I finally settled on a pair that I absolutely love. They're comfortable, stylish, and I feel great wearing them.
 
Beyond the practical success of my eyewear shopping, it was also nice to revisit Shibuya. The familiar streets, bustling energy, and iconic sights felt comforting after a day of exploration. It's a testament to the charm of Shibuya that even a second visit still holds a unique appeal. It’s a place that seamlessly blends modern trends with traditional elements, offering a diverse range of experiences for visitors.
 
The afternoon concluded with a satisfying feeling of accomplishment – new glasses, happy memories, and a renewed appreciation for Shibuya's vibrant energy. It was a perfect ending to a day filled with unexpected discoveries and a bit of a treasure hunt for new eyewear.

Tokyo Disneyland: A Delicious Detour to Eastside Cafe – March 10, 2025   Post-parade, our stomachs were rumbling louder than any rollercoaster. We were starving! The problem? Disneyland was packed, and every restaurant had a wait time that rivaled the lines for Space Mountain. But our resourceful Ate and Kuya remembered a hidden gem near the entrance: Eastside Cafe.   This table-service restaurant, tucked away in World Bazaar, promised a welcome respite from the park's frenetic energy. Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats. They even offered translation devices for non-English speakers – seriously impressed!   Stepping into the Tiki Room felt like entering a mini-theater.
