Day 2 - Da Nang Travel Diary: Dragon Bridge Fire & Water Frenzy!

After our Son Tra adventure (and a much-needed hotel rest!), we rallied for an 8:00 PM rendezvous to witness the legendary Dragon Bridge. Even in the evening, Da Nang's air held a warm, humid embrace. A stroll along the Han River revealed a vibrant cityscape – brightly lit bars, bustling stores, and the dazzling reflections of buildings shimmering across the water.



I was surprised to see two other bridges flanking the Dragon Bridge, a testament to the city's modern infrastructure. As we approached the dragon's head, the crowds thickened, buzzing with anticipation for the 9:00 PM fire and water show. We snagged a spot near the dragon's head, eager to witness the spectacle up close.
Right on cue, at 9:00 PM, the show began! The city came to a standstill as traffic was halted on the bridge to allow tourists to fully immerse themselves in the experience. The dragon roared to life, spitting bursts of fire four times in quick succession, followed by a brief pause before unleashing another fiery volley. The heat was intense, a tangible reminder of the dragon's power.



Then came the water. We naively assumed it would be a simple, straight stream. Boy, were we wrong! The dragon unleashed a torrent of water that sprayed out like a tropical downpour. Chaos erupted! We were soaked to the bone, laughing hysterically at the sheer spontaneity of it all. It was one of those moments you just have to experience to believe.



The Dragon Bridge fire and water show is an absolute highlight of any Da Nang adventure. The combination of fire, water, lights, and the sheer energy of the crowd creates an unforgettable spectacle. If you're ever in Da Nang, don't miss it – just be prepared to get wet!

Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats.
