Day 6 - Da Nang Travel Diary: Hoi An Nights

✨🏮 Boat rides, night markets, and a whole lotta lanterns! Day 6 in Da Nang took us to the enchanting town of Hoi An, and let me tell you, it's a vibe! First up: the iconic lantern boat ride. Huge thanks to @Klook for making it super easy to redeem our tickets (iced tea included!). 🙏 Ran into some awesome Filipino travelers too! 🇵🇭



The boat ride itself was magical ✨ The river was lit up with thousands of lanterns, creating the most incredible view. Each lantern symbolizes good fortune and happiness, which is such a beautiful tradition. But TBH, it felt a little too touristy. 🙈 I was hoping for a more authentic experience, but it was still a sight to see! Sometimes you just gotta embrace the touristy moments, right? 🤷‍♀️


After the boat ride, we hit up the night market. So. Many. People! 🤯 We grabbed some ice cream and soaked in the atmosphere, but it was a bit overwhelming. Felt like everything was geared towards tourists, which was a bit of a bummer. 💸


Overall, Hoi An is definitely worth a visit, but go in knowing it's a popular spot! Find your own way to connect with the culture and make the most of the experience. 😊

Tokyo Disneyland: A Delicious Detour to Eastside Cafe – March 10, 2025   Post-parade, our stomachs were rumbling louder than any rollercoaster. We were starving! The problem? Disneyland was packed, and every restaurant had a wait time that rivaled the lines for Space Mountain. But our resourceful Ate and Kuya remembered a hidden gem near the entrance: Eastside Cafe.   This table-service restaurant, tucked away in World Bazaar, promised a welcome respite from the park's frenetic energy. World Bazaar, with its early 20th-century Victorian theming, is already a feast for the eyes, and Eastside Cafe perfectly complements the atmosphere. Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats. They even offered translation devices for non-English speakers – seriously impressed!   Stepping into the Tiki Room felt like entering a mini-theater. No photos or videos allowed (bummer, but understandable), so we just soaked it all in. The show itself? A whole lot of colorful robotic birds singing and doing their thing.
