Day 5 - Da Nang Vietnam Travel Dairy: Bana Hills - Discovering Art and Spirituality in Le Jardin d'Amour

Our Da Nang travel diary continues, and today, Bana Hills revealed its artistic and spiritual side! After a morning of exhilarating rides and breathtaking views, we dedicated our afternoon to exploring the enchanting Le Jardin d'Amour, discovering its hidden art installations and the serene presence of Buddha.



At 4 PM, we hopped on the cable car down to station B1, our destination: Le Jardin d'Amour. The cable car ride itself was a treat, offering panoramic views of the lush landscape below. We even managed to contact our driver to adjust our pickup time to 6 PM, giving us ample time to soak in the beauty of the gardens.



Le Jardin d'Amour, or the Love Flower Garden, is a sprawling complex of nine distinct gardens, each designed with a unique theme and bursting with vibrant blooms. It's a place where the air is thick with the sweet scent of flowers, where art and nature intertwine, and where moments of spiritual reflection can be found amidst the beauty.
Arriving at 4:30 PM, we were immediately captivated. The gardens are a symphony of colors, with meticulously arranged flowerbeds showcasing a stunning variety of species. The French influence is evident in the architecture and the overall design, lending a touch of European elegance to the Vietnamese landscape.



Beyond the stunning floral displays, Le Jardin d'Amour also features captivating art installations and sculptures that add another layer of depth to the experience. These artistic elements are seamlessly integrated into the landscape, creating a harmonious blend of nature and creativity.
As we wandered through the gardens, we stumbled upon intriguing sculptures crafted from various materials. Some were abstract and thought-provoking, while others depicted scenes from Vietnamese folklore. Each piece added a unique touch to its surroundings, inviting us to pause and contemplate its meaning.



One of the most memorable moments was discovering the serene view of the Buddha statue in the distance. From a certain vantage point in the gardens, the majestic figure of Buddha can be seen overlooking the landscape, radiating peace and tranquility. It was a humbling experience to witness this symbol of spirituality amidst the beauty of the gardens.
The flower arrangements were still a highlight, of course. The gardeners have truly outdone themselves, creating intricate displays that are both artistic and breathtaking. Roses, hydrangeas, sunflowers, and countless other blooms are carefully arranged to create stunning visual masterpieces. I was particularly mesmerized by the vibrant colors and the sheer variety of flowers on display.



Beyond the flowers and art, the views from Le Jardin d'Amour are simply spectacular. Perched high in the mountains, the gardens offer panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside. The fresh mountain air and the stunning scenery create a sense of tranquility and serenity that is hard to find elsewhere.
We spent hours wandering through the gardens, taking photos, and simply enjoying the beauty around us. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Le Jardin d'Amour is more than just a garden; it's an experience that nourishes the soul and stimulates the mind.

Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold!
