Day 6 - Da Nang Travel Diary - Hello Hoi An!

☀️ (and a Little Detour)
Woke up bright and early (well, early-ish) at 7 am. Travel life isn't always glamorous, you know! Gotta keep those clothes clean, so laundry was the first order of the day. By 8 am, hunger pangs were kicking in, so I did what any self-respecting traveler would do: ordered GrabFood! 🛵💨






Around 9 am, after demolishing my delicious Vietnamese breakfast, it was time for a shower and to get ready for our Hoi An adventure. We had pre-arranged a ride with the same awesome driver who took us from Ba Na Hills. Remember him? We negotiated a price of 800K VND (around 1600 pesos) during our trip back to the hotel, which was a steal!



He picked us up right on time at 10:30 am, ready to whisk us away to Hoi An. But, plot twist! I had a little change of plans. I'd heard amazing things about the Coconut Village and its basket boat rides, so I asked our driver if he could drop us there instead. He was super chill about it, which is just typical of the drivers here in Da Nang – they're seriously the best! 🙌


The drive was almost an hour, and we realized we were passing by the Marble Mountains. Our driver, bless his heart, suggested a stop at the Marble factory. We politely declined, explaining that we'd already explored the mountains on a previous day.


The scenery in Vietnam never gets old. Even on a simple drive, the views are just so calming and peaceful. It was a smooth ride, although the weather was definitely hotting up. The air was dry, and the sun was starting to peek through the clouds, promising another scorcher of a day. 🥵

Tokyo Disneyland: A Delicious Detour to Eastside Cafe – March 10, 2025   Post-parade, our stomachs were rumbling louder than any rollercoaster. We were starving! The problem? Disneyland was packed, and every restaurant had a wait time that rivaled the lines for Space Mountain. Tiki Room Adventure: A Surprisingly Fun Disney Break!   Okay, so picture this: we're buzzing from all the Disney magic, ready to tackle some rides. But hold up! The app shows hour-long waits for everything popular. We're not about that life. We need a strategic break, a Disney pit stop if you will.   That's where the Enchanted Tiki Room: Stitch Presents "Aloha E KOMO Mai!" swooped in to save the day. Only a 15-minute wait? Sold! The Adventureland location was a bonus – a little escape from the main hustle. The waiting area was surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seats. They even offered translation devices for non-English speakers – seriously impressed!   Stepping into the Tiki Room felt like entering a mini-theater.
