I ❤️ Da Nang Vietnam 2025 - Day 5 - Ba Na Hills - Four Season Restaurant Buffet, Alpine Coaster and Fantasy Land - 07/28/2025
Day 5 - Da Nang Travel Diary: Bana Hills - Four Season Restaurant Buffet, Alpine Coaster and Fantasy Land
10:30 AM: Early Lunch at Four Seasons Restaurant
Our tickets included a buffet at the Four Seasons Restaurant, located in the B1 section of the Four Seasons Hotel. I highly recommend opting for the buffet – it's totally worth it! We arrived around 10:30 AM, and while there were a few people, the place really filled up closer to lunchtime.
The Four Seasons Restaurant itself is quite impressive. It's a large, open space with a modern design, but with touches of Vietnamese decor. The buffet spread was incredible, offering a wide variety of dishes. There were Vietnamese classics like pho, spring rolls, and banh mi, alongside international options like pasta, salads, and various meat dishes. They also had a great selection of desserts, from fresh fruit to cakes and pastries.
I loaded up my plate with a bit of everything, wanting to sample as much as possible. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the variety ensured there was something for everyone. The staff were attentive, constantly replenishing the dishes and clearing tables. By 12 noon, we were completely stuffed! We needed to find some activities to burn off all that delicious food.
12:00 PM: Alpine Coaster Adventure
Our first stop after the buffet was the Alpine Coaster. The queue was surprisingly short, only about 15 minutes. Mama decided to sit this one out, as she thought she might get dizzy, and Badet stayed with her. The rest of us were excited to give it a try!
The Alpine Coaster is a single-car coaster that winds down the mountain. You control the speed with a handbrake, so you can go as fast or as slow as you like. The ride was longer than I expected, taking us through lush greenery and offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
12:30 PM: Riding the Rails
As we started our descent, it began to rain lightly, which actually added to the thrill! Unfortunately, we couldn't take any pictures or videos with our cellphones during the ride, as you need both hands to control the coaster. I was a little nervous at first, thinking it might be dangerous, but it was actually very safe and incredibly fun. For just 150 pesos, it was totally worth it!
1:30 PM: Fantasy Land Fun
After the Alpine Coaster, we met up with Mama and Badet and headed to Fantasy Land. This area is clearly popular with teens and families, as it's packed with arcade games and amusement park rides. There were claw machines, shooting games, and even a few small roller coasters.
While Fantasy Land was entertaining, I felt it was a bit disconnected from the overall theme of Bana Hills. The rest of the complex has a distinct French colonial feel, but Fantasy Land felt more like a generic fair. It would be great if they could incorporate a French theme into this section as well, perhaps with vintage arcade games or rides inspired by French literature or history.
We caught the 2 PM watch show in Fantasy Land, snapped a few pictures, and then decided to move on to explore other parts of Bana Hills.
