I ❤️ Da Nang Vietnam 2025 - Day 5 - Ba Na Hills - Cable Car - 07/28/2025

Day 5 - Da Nang Vietnam Travel Diary: Bana Hills Soaring to New Heights on the Cable Car!

🚠🇻🇳
Alright, buckle up, buttercups, because today's Ba Na Hills adventure involves a serious dose of cable car action! After arriving at Gateway (more on that in my previous post!), we bypassed the ticket area (thanks, Klook!) and headed straight for the Hoi An Station.
Now, let's talk about the cable cars of Ba Na Hills. This isn't your average ski lift, folks. We're talking about a network of world-record-breaking cable car lines that whisk you up the mountain in style.

Here's the deal:
- Hoi An Station to Marseille Station: This was our first leg of the journey. The ride took almost 20 minutes, and let me tell you, it was an experience in itself.
- Multiple Cable Cars: I was expecting a single cable car, but surprise! There are actually FIVE cable car lines operating in Ba Na Hills. Each line connects different stations and offers unique views.
- Efficiency is Key: The system is incredibly efficient. The cable cars run continuously, so there's minimal waiting time. Plus, the cars are spacious and comfortable, making the ride enjoyable even for those who might be a little nervous about heights.
As we ascended from Hoi An Station to Marseille Station, I was glued to the window. The views were simply stunning. We soared over lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and rolling hills. The higher we climbed, the cooler the air became, a welcome change from the Da Nang heat.

But here's the kicker: I was low-key fuming with envy. Seriously! I was expecting a basic, maybe slightly rickety cable car, but what I got was a modern, efficient, and downright impressive system. It was a slap in the face by how much ahead and modern Vietnam was. It was different from the propaganda I'm hearing that this is a poor country.
The efficiency of the service, the breathtaking views, and the sheer scale of the operation blew me away. It was a stark reminder that you can't always believe what you hear and that sometimes, you just have to see things for yourself.

The cable car ride is more than just a means of transportation; it's an integral part of the Ba Na Hills experience. It's a chance to slow down, take in the scenery, and appreciate the incredible engineering that makes this mountaintop resort possible.

So, if you're planning a trip to Ba Na Hills, don't just rush to the top. Take your time, enjoy the cable car ride, and soak in the views. You won't regret it!
